Coffees

Single Origin Espresso
Espresso was originally invented in the 19th century and perfected in the 20th century as a way of making a faster cup of coffee. Until then, it took a long time to make a single cup of coffee manually, which is now referred to as the "pour over" or "slow brewing" method. However, while you may know espresso as a way of preparing coffee, it is also a way of roasting coffee. The majority of our focus has been on perfecting a wide variety of single origin espresso roasts, as opposed to espresso blends. Our policy is to use only the finest single origin, Arabica coffees for our espressos. That is why our coffees do not taste burnt, sour or bitter. For espresso, the coffee is roasted at higher temperatures in small, intense and quick batches. This brings out the sugars and oils of the single origin coffee beans, and caramelizes the coffee, giving it a richer taste and deeper flavor. We roast each single origin bean in a variety of espresso styles, depending on the coffee and its unique characteristics. Our espresso offerings include the following roasts (from lightest to darkest): Northern Italian, Viennese, French, Italian and Turkish. Below is a list of our single origin espresso offerings. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Please contact us with any questions regarding our selection. We are here to help you find the coffee and roast that is right for you. We have an extensive list of a variety of espressos if you are interested in others please contact us.
Africa
